Mental Health Therapist
Dr. Shannon Davis-Wills, DHA, LPC-S is a licensed mental health professional, trauma-informed yoga instructor, and the founder of Hope Within Counseling. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, now residing in Texas, she brings a compassionate, culturally responsive, and whole-person approach to healing. Dr. Shannon specializes in trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, and life transitions, helping individuals understand how trauma lives in both the mind and body and how healing is possible through awareness, regulation, and connection.
With a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, a master’s degree in professional counseling, and a background in trauma-informed somatic practices, Dr. Shannon integrates clinical expertise with body-based healing and faith-centered grounding. Her work is rooted in a deep belief that hope, resilience, and the capacity to heal already live within each person. Through her therapeutic work and writing, she invites readers to reconnect with themselves, rewrite their narrative, and create lives grounded in peace rather than survival.
Office Manager
Josh is the friendly face behind the scenes at Hope Within Counseling, helping keep everything running smoothly day to day. From scheduling appointments to answering questions, he’s often the first point of contact and works hard to make sure every client feels welcomed and supported from the start.
He’s a graduate of Texas A&M University Commerce and brings a strong sense of organization, reliability, and care to his role. Josh enjoys making the process simple and stress-free so clients can focus on what really matters, their healing.
Whether he’s assisting with scheduling or helping things stay on track behind the scenes, Josh is a steady, supportive presence for both clients and the Hope Within team.
